A seminal piece of literature this. I'd had it recommended to me countless times by friends but I'm always a little wary when being pushed towards something by my peers. Like many others (I suspect), I prefer to discover things for myself. Worse still, when I did eventually buy a copy and began to read it, I found the opening part of the book to be a bit slow yet I persevered and was not disappointed. The book is essentially set during a biking holiday across the US which turns very unexpectedly into so much more. By the end, there was a little bit of Mr Pirsig inside of me that I'll guard as if it were the Crown Jewels. Thank you Robert.
